Consultant appointed to deliver Diversity Strategy Refresh

We are pleased to announce that Leading Kind have been successful in tendering for our project to refresh the Diversity Strategy for Public Appointments. Leading Kind are an agile and international team of researchers and consultants, who combine expertise and experience of high-quality research with a track record of advancing equality. They have a sound grasp of the importance that good quality Public Appointments and effective governance play in making significant impact on the work of public bodies alongside understanding the importance of driving positive change in equality, diversity, and inclusion. They also bring extensive experience in the field of Human Rights and broader issues of social inclusion.

We have seen incremental improvements in board diversity since the last strategy was published and gender parity has been achieved, but the time has come for national and regional actions that lead to transformational change. We are very much looking forward to working with Leading Kind on this vitally important project. It has the scope to have a very positive impact on the diversity and effectiveness of public body boards in Scotland which, in turn, will have a meaningful and positive impact on the communities that they serve.
